Islam has been at the forefront of innumerable discussion in recent years. It has been linked to terrorism and anti-Americanism, but it also has been defended as a religion of peace and love.
We have the chance to sit with the Koran, the holy book for Muslims, and think about how the text matches up with the thoughts and actions of those who claim to be following the “true” faith.
How have your thoughts changed about Islam now that you have had the opportunity to study the Koran? Were there any passages that struck you as curious, odd, or just interesting — the passage that begins “Men have authority…” at the bottom of page 1431, perhaps?
